Our Privacy Policy
This is a simple personal blog. I don't collect your personal data or require any information from you.
The Simple Version
TL;DR: This is my personal blog. I don't ask for your email, name, or any information. Just read the articles—that's it.
The Real Marketing Book is a personal blog where I write about marketing tools and strategies. Since this isn't a business or service, I have no need to collect your personal information.
- No accounts: You can't sign up or create an account
- No forms: I don't have contact forms, comments, or newsletters
- No tracking: I don't use cookies to track your behavior
- No personal data: I don't know who you are or anything about you
Analytics (The Only Data I See)
Like most website owners, I use basic analytics to understand which articles are popular. This helps me decide what to write about next.
- Vercel Analytics: Shows me anonymous data like page views and country-level traffic
- Google Analytics: Helps me see which articles people find useful
- What I see: Totals like "100 people visited this page from the US" - no individual data
- What I don't see: Your name, email, IP address, or anything that identifies you personally
This is the same basic analytics nearly every website uses. It's completely anonymous and aggregated.
External Links & Affiliates
Sometimes I link to tools or services I use. Here's what you should know:
- Affiliate links: Occasionally I use affiliate links (if I sign up through my link, I might get a small commission)
- No extra cost: Using affiliate links never costs you more
- External sites: When you click links to other sites, their privacy policies apply, not mine
- No responsibility: I'm not responsible for how other sites handle your data
Your Privacy Rights
Since I don't collect your personal data, there's not much to exercise rights over. But for completeness:
- Access: You can't request your data because I don't have any
- Deletion: There's nothing to delete because I don't store your information
- Correction: No data to correct for the same reason
- Opt-out: You're automatically opted out of everything by default
Policy Changes
If I ever make significant changes to this blog that affect privacy, I'll update this page. Given that this is just a personal blog, major changes are unlikely.
